The story of this bike has a sad beginning, followed by a happy ending.  The owner’s former bike met an untimely demise while riding atop his car, after an unfortunate encounter with his garage door.  Luckily, we were able to snag him one of the 300 of these stealth bikes that were made.  What you’re looking at is the 2012 Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL4 Black LTD.  It features a very slick blacked out frame, and a full set of blacked out components.  We swapped the included Zipp 808 tubulars for something more suited for the owner’s riding (404 front and 808 rear, both clincher).  Although the proud new owner doesn’t have a lot of saddle time on his new ride yet, we have heard from him that it’s a big step up from his previous bike.
